Women's Day Retreat - Educate, Empower, Embrace
A day of understanding and support for all stages of menopause

By educating ourselves, we are empowered through knowledge, wisdom, sharing and understanding. Further insight into menopause allows us to find strength to better cope with this often major change in our lives and we can then see each other and ourselves with new found empathy, love and support. It is important to know that whilst we are all navigating our own unique and individual journey, we are not alone during this often lonely menopause path.

Whether you are experiencing surgical-menopause, peri-menopause, mid menopause, post menopause or just want to understand more about yourself this day is designed to:

·Finally put yourself and your needs first.
·Check-in on yourself mentally and physically.
·Speak and be heard in a safe space (if you choose).
·Share and connect with other women traveling this often challenging and sometimes confusing journey.
·Nourish your body with a delicious lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
·Nurture your body, mind and soul with a Yoga session that encourages rest, restoration and rejuvenation as well as guided breathwork and short guided meditation.
·Educate and empower yourself with knowledge and information presented by Tracey Yeend - RN/RM Natural Medicine Practitioner and Dr Jessica Floreani - Aware Women’s Health GP.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Megan from Four Seasons Yoga along with lifelong girlfriends, Sally Nicholson and Kylie Porter- Wright feel honored to host this event to bring women together at whatever their stage of their menopause journey, whether it is surgical menopause, peri-menopause, menopause or post- menopause. Women need to know they are not alone, and that reaching out for help and just wanting to talk about how they are doing should be encouraged and supported.

Megan will guide you through a Gentle/Restorative Yoga practice incorporating guided breath-work and a short guided meditation.  These practices work to calm your nervous system allowing you to find peace and calm in both your body, mind and soul.  All of which can be tested to their limits during menopause.

After morning tea we are greatly honored to welcome Tracey Yeend - RN/RM Natural Medicine Practitioner to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with us all with plenty of time for questions and answers.

Tracey Yeend is a Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife and Natural Medicine Practitioner with 36 years of experience in many facets of health.  She has other qualifications in Pharmacology and Teaching. Due to extensive clinical experience in many areas of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Tracey’s private practice (s) focus on many issues in Women’s Health & Hormones. For over 11 years, Tracey has been contracted by The Green Dispensary Group 3 days a week and continues to have two private practices, one at Eden Hills and the other alongside Dr Fariba Behind - Willison at FBW Gynaecology Plus at Ashford.  Tracey presents regular Health segments on FiveAA and has done for 16 years.  She also presents at many professional seminars, conferences and community events.

Sally will then provide us with a delicious home cooked lunch to share.  A chance to chat casually and openly with women going through this menopause journey.

After lunch we are very honored to have Dr Jessica Floreani from Aware Women’s Health share her wealth of knowledge and experience with us all with plenty of time for questions and answers.

Dr Jessica Floreani BSc (Biomed Sc) BMBS FRACGP DCH Cert S&RH is a GP with a special interest in sexual and reproductive health and has worked in Adelaide for over 15 years.  Jessica consults as a specialist Women’s Health practitioner at Aware Women’s Health and is a medical educator at SHINE SA where she is involved in teaching and training of doctors, medical students and other healthcare professionals. Jessica has spent many years caring for and educating women at all stages in their reproductive life and in particular is passionate about assisting those navigating perimenopause and menopause.

After our afternoon tea, our lovely group of women will then be separated in to 2 sharing circles to share your own experiences and perhaps what has worked/what hasn’t worked for you.  You can share as much or as little as you like and you are welcome to just listen. These circles are non-judgmental and we all hold space and give support to one another.  For so many of us we just want to be heard and our feelings and experiences validated and normalised.

We then come back together as one beautiful group of empowered, supported, listened to women to close this special day together.

Upon leaving you will receive a list of podcasts, books and websites on menopause to take home to then listen to in your own time.

Knowledge is power and the more we can listen to and read about Menopause the more we can understand and make the best choices for ourselves, of course, along with guidance from your medical provider.

We are very excited to share, support, educate and empower each and every-one of you at this very special Women's Day Retreat - Empower, Educate and Embrace all things menopause.
