MFR - Myofascial Release Workshop 2025 - Part 1 Lower Body

This Myofascial (Myo = Muscles, Fascia = interconnective tissues) release workshop is offered over 2 consecutive Wednesday nights.  

The first workshop on 20 August  will focus on the lower body (feet, shins, calves, quads, hamstrings, inner thighs). 
The second workshop on 27 August will focus on the upper body (hands, arms, shoulders, neck, chest, belly, glutes and back.

Using blocks, balls and our own body we can gently manipulate the soft tissues of muscles and fascia.  This has shown a positive effect on hydration of the tissues, breaking up micro adhesions, increasing flexibility and speeding recovery if needed.  Other benefits of this practice include:

* hydration of our cells and tissues
* decreases compression around other structures by releasing tension in an adjacent area
* stimulation of acupressure points and meridian lines enhance Qi flow (life force/energy) and nourishes the associated organs
* increased blood supply and lymphatic activity enhances tissue health and healing
* stimulates our Parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest mode)
* assist in removing pain and discomfort from our body

Balls and blocks are provided. You only need to bring your yoga mat.  I can lend you a yoga mat if you need.
